Permission Sets

Hello,
I have a question about Permission Sets.
We are currently migrating one of customers from NAV2017 to BC14. They do have a lot of custom Permission Sets. We noticed however that, during our test conversions, the Permission Sets are created with type = 'System' and NOT as type = 'User Defined'. This means that an administrator with SUPER rights does NOT have the rights and options to update their custom Permission Sets. This is critical for going live.
My question is: is there a way to get this achieved? And what would be the steps to do so.

Thanks,
RDJ

    Hi,

In Summary what you have to do.
    1. Export Permission and Permission Set from Customer NAV2017 Environment. [File - Custom.txt]
    2. Export Permission and Permission Set from Standard NAV2017 Environment. [File - Base.txt]
    3. Compare File Base and custom.
    4. Two types of Results -
      1. Modified Microsoft Permission.
      2.  New Permissions.
    5. For New Permission Export from NAV 2017 and import in BC 14 (they will be listed as user-defined).
    6. For Modified Permission - Identify Delta and create new permission Manually and create a user defined.
    7. Last but not least for permission is create in step 6, then make sure new permission are added where Microsoft have base permission.
Just FYI, you can also code to do all these steps too.
