Users using EP are getting "An unexpected error has occurred. Row not found Please check the event log or contact your administrator." when clicking on items listed in the Absence registration list under approvals. The dates and time of the leave are not displayed as if empty.
The problem seem to resolve itself for some users after some time but I've not been able to capture any events or errors in the logs yet that would point to a cause of the error.
Where should I direct troubleshooting of this issue? Considering we are talking about EP running on SharePoint 2012, should I run verbose logging or SQL tracing?
This sounds like a possible cache issue, considering the issue just resolves itself after some time. Have you tried Refreshing AOD, data & dictionary from the EP site Administration area?

I've tried that but the error remained and wouldn't display the detail of the registration. There was actually a bad absence registration that was causing issues and we were able to approve it.
I cannot reproduce the error myself so I'm waiting for someone in the business to confirm if all is good.
