When i tried to run the Named license report it trowed "SID getting error", based on some community discussions, i got a job to find the efffected ids and re import them, the issue got resolved.
But we need to know the root cause of the error.can anyone please let me know what could be the possible reason.
I did a web search for "dynamics ax named user license count sid getting error".
The first search result returned this:
"From the error I know what the problem is. One of the users can not be found in Active directory."
So, you have users in your AX user table that do not anymore exist in your AD.

So as you said we tried to check the AD, the users where , but modified in last September. So why this error got suddenly now. Any reasons or possibilities for that???
Maybe you did not run this report since last September.
No Nikolaos, we are running this report every month,But this time it got the error.
Ok. Well we know why you get this error. It's harder to know why it has (presumably) worked in the past.
But we also know how to fix it, so I guess everything is fine?
Yes, we are able to fix the issue, but We need to know how this happened so that we can ensure we don’t get this issue again. Would you be able to advice?
Just make sure your AX users don't get deleted from AD.
I don't know what else you are looking for.
