I have been looking on AX MSDN site of list of all EDT's and their properties. I found it for several years ago but not now. Can anyone assist me by posting a link to website who can help me?
I have an alternative option, that is to set up the AX demo virtual machine, but that is huge work.
I don't think there is any documentation duplicating all the metadata, and I don't see a good reason why it should exist.
Why do you say that downloading a VHD file and creating a VM with this virtual disk is a huge work?
Haven't seen one that exist for all EDT's, that's doesn't provide much value anyway. If you need to look at tables etc., refer technical reference reports at link below:
What is the background of your question? I do agree with Martin that the best documentation is in the VM itself. Are you really looking for EDT documentation or are you looking for the ERD page? There used to be some documentation on the data model for AX 2012 R2, but this site has been deprecated. There are still several copies on the internet, but that information is outdated as AX 2012 R3 has new modules and a lot of improvements.
My background is that I have tried to fire up the VM in Azure - but I couldn't. Maybe you could give me a link with a workthrough how it insert VM in Azure?
You can either deploy a VM to Azure through cloud-hosted environments on LCS or you download a VHD file from LCS asset library and use it for a local VM. Here is the documentation: Deploy and access development environments.
