Where has the blog controls gone after the UI changes?

Hello,

The new UI looks great. However, as a blog author, with a blog linked to my website, I noticed the blog control pane is missing.

Is something specifically wrong on my end, or what has changed in this area, please?

This is the link to my blog on Dynamics community:
and this is the source blog:

    Hi @Community Manager's
Thanks again for your guidance earlier. I’ve already shared my blog links as requested, and I now have a full series of posts ready to publish that I believe will really benefit the community.

However, I’m not seeing any option to create or post a blog — there’s no “Create Blog” button showing on my end. Could you please guide me on where I can access the blog section and how to submit a post?

    Appreciate your support!

We don't set up author privileges for syndicated blogs by default. Thats because one of the benefits of syndication is not needing to author in two places.

Additionally, the size of excerpt that is posted is limited. We do not have controls to edit the excerpt in advance or change the excerpt size at this time.

For now, I've added your profile as an author so you can see the Create blog post button for your syndicated blog and also Edit existing blog posts. You can use this privilege to edit the excerpts manually after each post if you like.

I'll share your feedback about excerpt size controls with the Community platform team.

    Hi @Scott_itD,

    Thank you for your response.

I cannot see the 'create blog post' button, despite being logged in using the correct email. I see my blog posts correctly listed when I click 'my blog posts', that's it.

Also, my blog posts are being synced from my main blog at yagasoft.com. I used to see controls that allow me to modify the length of the excerpt taken from the original post on my website; I can't find those controls anymore.

E.g. below is my latest post on my website. Notice it's truncated, as I originally set it a few years back. I cannot control that length in the new UI anymore.

As you can see, I seem to be missing a privilege or something that allows me to control my blog on the D365 Community.

What blog controls were you looking for?

You should be able to see the My blog posts and Create blog post buttons to the right of the breadcrumb:
