Hi, i need help.

I'm tring to connect a report to Dynamics 365, but when I select the datasource type doesn´t appear "Microsoft Dynamics Fetch", instead i see MSCRMFETCH.

When I tried to use that, so appeared this message:

"Unable to connect to data source 'DataSource1'.The selected data extension MSCRMFETCH is not installed or cannot be loaded. Verify that the selected data extension is installed on the client for local reports and on the report server for published reports.".

I'm using SQL Server data tools for visual studio 2012 and already I installed the CRM Report Authoring Extension.

i had few issues and eventually worked on Microsoft Visual Studio Ultimate 2012 version. try to reinstall it and are you giving the absolute path for the CRM in credentials section with username and the password. Does the user is a system admin? about to create the reports in the security roles?

I didn't could find the solution, i had to use another pc, and worked.

Try reinstalling the authoring tools.. if it does not help, get Visual Studio 2015 + Data Tools, then reinstall the authoring tools again.. but use Visual Studio 2015 to build reports after that

I opened Visual studio from Microsoft SQL Server 2012 > SQL SERVER Data Tools

Now I can see the data source in the report wizard as "Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fetch"

I tried providing connection string as the CRM Application URL "https://xxx.crm6.dynamics.com;;UniqueName"

I give right credentials.

but its throwing below error always

Can’t use the cached credentials to sign in to Microsoft Dynamics 365. You may have insufficient privileges to sign in.

---------------------------

OK

---------------------------

Please advice.

Hi Roopa,

Did you managed to fix the issue. If so can you pls lemme know the issue route cause Since we are facing the same error while previewing the report from VS.

Download and Install Reports Authorising Extension file.

Hello ,

This is happening due to multiple time install of reporting extension or may be the version mismatch.
