Derived Financial Dimension

Hi Everyone,
I am currently configuring “Item Group” as a derived financial dimension, but I have noticed that when users enter transactions, they can see all item groups across both companies.

However, users from Company A are able to see item groups from Company B, and vice versa.

For example:

Company A uses:
Raw Material
Packaging
Finished Goods

Company B uses:
Spare Parts
Tools

I have explained an example using just two companies for understanding, the actual scenario involves 10 active legal entities. This is causing confusion for users, as they are struggling to identify and select the correct item group relevant to their specific company.

Since legal entity overrides are not supported in derived financial dimensions, I’m looking for an alternative setup that would allow users to only see the relevant item groups for their company during transaction entry.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to achieve this restriction?

Legal Entity Overrides is not available in derived financial dimensions.

    Hi Raheel,

Dimension values are stored in a global table. Usually when entering journals and transactions, the data for the current legal entity should be visible. Can you tell on what exact screen you see all item groups? Depending on the form, this could be a bug or intended feature.
