Cash Drawer connected to a printer is not working in POS

Hello,

We are using a cash drawer connected to the Epson Receipt Printer via an RJ11/12 port. I have configured the printing preferences to open the cash drawer at the beginning of the document, and I verified that it does open correctly after clicking the 'Operation Check' button.

However, after completing a transaction in the Store Commerce App, the receipt prints without any issues, but the cash drawer does not open.

Please note: The printer is configured to work with OPOS in the D365 F&O hardware profile.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello, Thanks for the below response.

Initially I was under the impression that only the cash drawers that are connected to POS via USB can be configured as OPOS. As per your below suggestion I've tried to create a new cash drawer as USB port, and I got an option to select the printer name, post that the cash drawer was working as intended.

    Thank you.

    Hello Gopi,

Basically it should work with Epson Printer if you have connected the Cash drawer to the printer, you could try configuring the Cash drawer device in Epson OPOS ADK setup with COM port connected to the POS device, you need configure the device name back in HQ.

    Hope this helps.
