Dynamics 365 V9 On-Premise missing Sales App and Sales Hub – how did I manage to install

We have recently set up a V9 sandbox environment for one of our clients and the customer was really excited about using V9. But then they emailed asking they could not find the Sales Hub and asked us to install the sales hub. In this short post I am going to share how we managed to get the Sales App and Sales Hub on V9 On-Prem

We only had the Dynamics 365 – Custom and Service Hub apps listed in the My Apps area after the Dynamics 365 V9 Server install.

If its Online, its easy to install the app or solution from Dynamics 365 Admin Centre or App Source. But for On-prem we do not have that luxury.

The following link says the V9 for on-prem has the new Sales App and Hub so we definitely it will work but it’s just simply was not installed.

I then came across the following link that allowed me to download the Sales. I had to login using my work account to get to the Customer Source page but I’m sure this can be downloaded by other ways as well.

The page has the following details

And I downloaded the Dynamics 365 for Sales App v9.0.4.1310 and followed the installation steps and successfully installed the both modern Sales App and Sales Hub to D365 V9 On-Prem.

And we finally got the Sales App and the Hub :)

I get exactly the same in a test environment. User doing package installation is local admin &deployment admin. Even giving everyone full control to the registry HKLM (being test env) does not remove the error.

I am trying to install it on a Dynamics 365 v 9.0.3 on premise server. I read the log and the errors are: Inner Exception Level 1 :

Kokulan ..great post. Quick question once we enable the Sales Hub - Service Hub, is there any way we can block the classic mode? so when users sign in into crm, it always brings the Unified Interface Mode for on-premise environment?

RE: Dynamics 365 V9 On-Premise missing Sales App and Sales Hub – how did I manage to install

    Hi

The download link is only available if you have a Customer Source login, meaning partner account.  You could try with your work account.   I used my work account to login and it allowed me to download.

If you still don't get the link, i would suggest you raise a ticket with MS .

    Thanks

    Thanks for sharing.

But it seems that the download link is unavailable now. Could you please send the exe file to me? Thanks a lot.
