I have a Credit Memo for a Client and they took the Credit but also Paid the New Invoice. How do I apply the Credit that was taken by the Client to the Credit Memo Invoice?

Am reading the installation instructions for  SL 2018 CU1 The article refers to Knowledge Base Article 916090 However this does not come up on the North America Microsoft Knowledgebase.
