Management Reporter HTTPS

ReportReport
Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I know this is an old topic but I am wondering if anyone has had success with getting this to fully work.

I have managed to get report viewer working via SSL by using the Azure Application gateway to offload the SSL portion however this seems to have broken our ability to use report designer.  Report designer doesn't seem to like a server name starting with https.  I currently get this in the event logs when trying to set the connection server to be https://servername

The configuration of this application is not valid.

The provided URI scheme 'https' is invalid; expected 'http'.

I'm wondering if anyone else has gone down the road of trying to use a SSL offloading solution to secure remote access to MR?
