My Community is a new personalized view of your community allowing you to focus on the content that matters most to you, for your particular app(s) and for your specific role. Now you can choose your favorite Dynamics 365 applications or on-premises products, filtered by content type and role, and view it all in one searchable dashboard. You can interact with forum threads, change your preferences to see alternate views, and your selections are automatically saved for you. Select a role for your profile and see your new role badge appear immediately across the site; adding a role helps others find your content too. Choose from eleven different content sources, all the Dynamics 365 applications and on-premises products, and thirteen different roles. When logged in, your choices are saved permanently. You can use this personalized experience both as an unauthenticated user or authenticated member of the community. The unauthenticated experience however, provides limited content choices, and a thirty day expiration of any customizations. Here are a few examples of how My Community could be used: You are seeking a forum answer and want to see all verified answers across specific Dynamic 365 product forums, filtered by role(s). You are a Developer and want to see all Sales application forum threads authored by (or intended for) Developers or other roles. You are an IT Professional and want to see the top ten ideas submitted for any application. You are looking to get started with the most viewed or popular documentation for a given application on the Microsoft site. You want to find out the applicable learning paths for your particular role from Microsoft Learn. You are a Functional Consultant and want to see all Finance TechTalks intended for Functional Consultants, or other roles. You are looking for product update details for one or more applications or products. Content Type Your personalized query allows you to pull from eleven different content types, and show only the content which is linked to your preferred Dynamics 365 applications and roles. Content types available for you to view include: Forums Blogs Events TechTalks Webinars Microsoft Learn Stack Overflow Top Documentation Licensing Guides Product Updates Ideas Products You have a choice to select from one or more Dynamics 365 applications and on-premises products. Roles Roles are key to this personalization so it is highly recommended that you go and update your community profile to confirm that your role is set accurately. Content is tagged by the role of the author and also by the intended audience. So for example, a blog post or a forum thread will be tagged with 'Consultant' if the author had the consultant role, or if the content was intended for consultants and was tagged as such. When you assign a role to your profile, content you create is automatically tagged with that role, which allows others to find your content when searching for content linked to that role. Getting Started Quickly Easily personalize your My Community page in three steps: 1. Choose a Content Type, e.g., forums or blogs (one per query). 2. Choose a Dynamics 365 Application or on-premises Product, e.g., Finance, Sales (one or more, up to seven). 3. Choose a Role, e.g. Developer, Consultant (one or more).
