Hi experts,
I am trying to create a form extension from an existing form.
This form is with /Custom/ design pattern, and has 2 groups (vertically arranged) already.
Then what I want to do is to add the 3rd group on the right side of the other 2 groups (shown as below), is that possible? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Kai Cheng,

The best approach in this case is to adhere to the Form Pattern guidelines and use the FormGroupControl inside the Form pattern. The above mentioned design is definitely possible. Check the highlighted section in there under the Sales Table.

    Hi Kai Cheng,

Yes, It is possible to create a new field group vertically besides of the other two group for that you need to add a group to design in that group properties mention the arrange method in the vertical and also in the parent field group properties make the column to be "2" and arrange method to be in "Auto" do save and build then you can get the required output. For your reference I'm attaching the image below.

    Hi,
You can try to define arrangemethod method: FormGroupControl.arrangeMethod Method (Dynamics.AX.Application) | Microsoft Learn
You can also check if this documentation helps: Fields and Field Groups subpattern - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn
