Leave entitlement based on seniority date

Hi All,
We have configured Leave plans to entitle the accrual amount to employees based on the months of service.
I know that number of months of service that we set as a condition in leave plans-> accrual schedule are calculated based in the field YEARSOFSERVICEDISPLAY in HR parameters. This field I have set as 'Seniority date'

Is there any other solution through which I can have the years of service/months of service for a worker to be calculated based on Seniority date.
Please advice.

Thanks.

    Hi All,
Is the below field used only for displaying the Years of service based on seniority date or is it really using it for calculating leaves based on accrual schedule to check for seniority date.
    Thanks

    Hi Parag,
    Thank you for your response.

The client wants to keep this field as 'Employment start date' so was checking do we have anything to define at the plan level.

For instance, by using the below:

or during assignment to employees by using the below:
Just trying to figure out the best solution possible.

    Thanks
